About MiltmonNDT
44+ Years in the Field. A New Chapter in Training.
I spent more than 44 years in my career working in welding, fabrication, industrial construction, supervision, project leadership, and safety.
I’m an ASME Certified Welder, and throughout my career I learned something that no textbook can fully teach:
Experience changes the way you see the work.
I’m retired from my industrial career now, but I’m not finished working.
I founded MiltmonNDT to put what I’ve learned to work for the next generation of welders, inspectors, NDT technicians, and industry professionals.
My goal is to help you bridge the gap between learning the material, passing the exam, and knowing what to do in the field.
My approach is simple:
Safety. Verification. Better Judgment.
Training Built From Experience
I believe good training should do more than help you memorize information or pass a test.
You should know how to find the requirement, understand it, verify it, and apply it to the situation in front of you.
That philosophy is at the heart of MiltmonNDT.
I combine welding experience, NDT fundamentals, code navigation, inspection practice, and modern technology to create training that is practical, understandable, and grounded in the real world.
The goal isn't simply to give you an answer.
The goal is to teach you how to find, verify, and defend the answer yourself.
Technology That Supports the Professional
Technology is changing the way we learn, practice, and organize technical work.
I use that technology to support the professional — not replace the professional.
ClauseBot™ provides AI-assisted, source-aware educational support for studying, code navigation, and inspection decision training.
WeldTrack™ supports structured inspection practice, organization, and documentation.
These tools are designed to help you think through problems, strengthen your documentation habits, and connect field observations to written requirements.
But there is an important boundary:
Technology supports professional judgment. It does not replace governing codes, project specifications, employer procedures, or qualified personnel.
Let’s Talk About Your Next Step
Maybe you're preparing for your CWI exam.
Maybe you're building your welding or NDT fundamentals.
Maybe you've been in the trades for years and you're ready for the next chapter of your career.
Or maybe you're just getting started and you're not sure where to begin.
I've been there.
I've trained people. I've supervised work. I've worked through difficult problems. I've made mistakes, learned from them, and spent decades seeing what happens when technical knowledge and field judgment come together.
Now I'm taking what I've learned into this next chapter.
My job is to help make your path a little clearer.
I offer a free 15-minute Training Path Call to hear where you are, understand where you want to go, and help point you toward the MiltmonNDT resource that fits your goals.
No pressure. Just a conversation about your next step.
