About
Welding Testing Fundamentals: NDT + Destructive Testing gives students, welders, inspectors, and managers a practical foundation in both nondestructive and destructive testing methods used in welding, fabrication, pipelines, structural steel, and industrial inspection. Students will learn how common NDT methods such as VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT are used to find discontinuities without damaging the part, then move into destructive testing methods such as tensile testing, bend testing, hardness testing, toughness testing, fatigue testing, corrosion testing, chemical analysis, and metallographic examination. This course connects testing methods to real inspection decisions, welding procedure qualification, welder performance qualification, material verification, documentation, and AWS/ASME/API code-aware workflows. Includes method comparison charts, sample inspection reports, testing visuals, equipment setup guidance, ClauseBot lookup prompts, and practical review questions.
